1. Warm up: A. Students should write their own custom food words on the board and discuss/fix any discrepancies together as a class (use the internet or dictionaries as needed).
B. For attendance ask each student: Cual es tu comida favorita? (What is your favorite food?) Allow them time to look up their answers in Spanish before replying.

1. pronounce each word on the vocabulary list for the class and have them repeat each one 2-3 times
2. write out a pronunciation key if needed for the more difficult words (ex: comida = "coe-mee-dah")

1. students should stay in their assigned seats and study their flash cards with their shoulder partner
2. be sure to tell the students to add 5 random flash cards from the past, so old words don't get rusty
3. 5-10 minutes of studying this way with shoulder partner, then another 5-10 of studying this way with front-back partner
c. practice listening quiz-1-10 on scrap paper: teacher gives 9 Spanish words from list, students write English (#10 is student's custom word)
